Summer Program
Summer VBS Program
For four to six weeks each summer over 400
elementary children participate in Impact's VBS summer program.
The children are picked up Monday through Thursdays and brought
to Impact where they sing songs, learn bible lessons, practice
reading, go on field trips and experience God's love through
interaction with Christian college interns and visiting high
school youth groups. The children are blessed with a summer
of both spiritual and intellectual growth. As God continues
to bring more and more children to Impact we continually need
more loving supporters to sponsor a child for the summer.
Only $100 is needed to sponsor a child for the summer. If
you are interested in supporting a child for the summer please
send your check and be sure to mark "summer funds".

Camps
Each year our children
have several opportunities to attend camps all over. There
is a small group that travels to New Mexico each year to attend
Blue Haven Christian Camp. The elementary children look forward
to Opportunity Camp. Youth groups from Canyon, Texas and Conroe,
Texas come together to minister to our kids one on one. It
is a unique camp that takes place at Gulf Coast Christian
Camp grounds in Columbus, Texas. Each year a group of upcoming
middle schoolers attend the Learning to Lead camp at the ACU
campus. One of the favorites each year is Camp of the Hills
which is a camp designed especially for the youth of the inner
city.
Summer Reading Program
Impact's Summer Reading Program offers
an incredible opportunity to make a difference in the lives
of hundreds of children. The reading program has been an annual
event for about seven years and each year it gets bigger and
better. With the growth of the ministry to children here comes
a need for more dedicated people willing to give of their
time as an investment in out kid's futures. The program runs
for six weeks Mon-Wed from about 10:30 - 11:45 am. The six
weeks are split up into two three week sessions. Curriculum
is provided as well as quality class sets of books for teaching.
The children range in age from kindergarten to fifth grade.
