Ron Sellers
An Impact elder since 1999. Served as a minister
at Impact since 1987. Preaching since 1969, serving in Iowa,
New Mexico, and Texas. Houston has been home for over 20 years.
Married my college sweetheart, Linda, at Abilene
Christian University in 1968. Blessed with four grown children
and a son-in-law: Scott, Jeff, Shelli and Jerry Smith, and Shana.
The "Father's amazing providence has given our family the
privilege of participating in the planting and progress of the
Impact church".
Through the years I have enjoyed planning and
initiating various ministries, including outreach to various
inner city neighborhoods, homeless shelters and the college
campus. Along with my shepherding responsibilities, I currently
preach and teach at Impact, drive vans, distribute groceries
and help lead outreach ministry at Harmony House, Independence
Hall, S. Houston Bible Institute, and the Veteran's Center.
Building a network of Christians/Churches working together for
God's purpose in the city has been a priority from the beginning.
Arranging the 25 area church hosts for the every Sunday "love
meal" and directing the annual Houston Workcamp for area
high school students are examples.
I am confident that our God who began this good
work in the city will bring it to completion until the day of
Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6 reminds us to be full of excitement
about how God will continue to dramatically impact His world
through His church.

Sunday a month to lead singing and as time evolved, I became
active in other works and activities. In 2001, I was ordained
an elder along with the existing five.
My aspirations are to help the Impact congregation

help make a real and positive difference in this community.
Also, I want to be a part of our expansion of the existing campus.
I teach an Adult class, which is mixed with male

physically challenged. The aim is to know who we are and to
recognize why we are here.

Les Rose
Born: July 26, 1960 in Fort Worth, Texas.
I am one of 4 children that was reared up in the Church and
accepted Christ at an early age. I attended the Everman School
District, and after receiving my high school diploma, I went
to work in our family owned business (Rose Auto Glass, Inc.).
This provided the skills and training needed to open my own
business (A-Guarantee Auto Glass) and operate it for 13 years
prior to relocating to Houston and joining the Impact team in
September 1997. In addition, I served as the minister of the
New York and Leuda St. Church of Christ from January 1992 through
August 1997 and was a major force of seeking support and preaching
at the Fortress Church of Christ. I have a wife of 20 years,
Yvonne and three sons, Les, 16, Leland, 13 and Logan, 2. I see
myself as a pulpit and an outreach minister at Impact. My passion
is taking the "word" to the streets with ministries
that minister to the needy.
My aspirations are to be a good role model for
my family and for the young black youths who attend Impact.
My daily prayer is to one day be part of a ministry that offers
shelter and substance abuse programs for those in need. Above
all, my desire is to always be a servant, used and directed
by God.
